Hawassa University delegation visits the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Delegates of Hawassa University have participated in the first International Staff Week organized by the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) between May 29 and June 2, 2023.
The delegation have shared experiences on academic, research and community engagement activities across different participating universities on the occasion as all of them had presneted their respective experiences. The international staff week was a platform that brought together several universities from eight different countries including the host, Hungary.
The first International Staff Week at MATE is basically aimed at networking international partners in the academic area with values such as curiosity, tolerance and collaboration/partnership as essentials to make a difference and impactful contributions to tackle climate change and other challenges through intercultural exchanges across the planet.
Dr. Emebet Bekele, Director General of the Office of External Relations and Communication at HU, presented basic areas of collaboration and efforts of internationalization at the university.
Dr. Ing. Fisiha Getachew, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Hawassa University, also expressed his gratitude to the MATE International Relations office for facilitating the collaboration with HU and their warm hospitality for the delegation.
