A student at Hawassa University who wants to get his/her name changed and get his/her records and credentials prepared with the new name:

• Has to appeal to the registrar’s office at least one academic semester before his expected graduation.
• Has to attach a letter from a court certifying that his/her name has been changed.

He/She has no right to appeal to the University’s Registrar to get credentials in the new name in and /or after the semester of graduation.
