ሀዋሳ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ከዚህ በታች ባለው ክፍት የስራ ቦታ ላይ አመልካቾችን አወዳድሮ በኮንትራትለመቅጠር ስለሚፈልግ ለቦታው የተጠየቀውን መስፈርት የሚያሟሉ አመልካቾችን ንዲወዳደሩ ይጋብዛል፡፡

 

ማሳሰቢያ

  • የሥራ መደቡ ብዛት 3 ሲሆን አንድ አመልካች መወዳደር የሚችለው በአንዱ ብቻ ነው፣
  • የማስታወቂያ ገጽ ብዛት 6 /ስድስት/፣
  • አመልካቾች በማስታወቂያው መሠረት የትምህርት ማስረጃና የስራ ልምድ ዋናውንና የማይመለስ 1(አንድ) ፎቶ ኮፒ ማቅረብ ይኖርባቸዋል፤
  • ከድርጅት የሚቀርብ የስራ ልምድ የስራ ግብር ስለመከፈሉ ማስረጃ መኖር አለበት፤
  • ስርዝ ድልዝ ያለበት የትምህርትና የሥራ ልምድ ማስረጃ ተቀባይነት የለውም፤
  • የመመዝገቢያ ቦታ፡-ሀዋሳ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ዋናው ግቢ የሰው ሀ/ሥ/አ/ዳይሬክቶሬት ቢሮ ቁጥር 133-23

1. Research expert

Category:                    Agronomy

Location:                     Hawassa University, Hawassa  

Career Level:              Senior Level (5+ years’ experience)

Employment Type:     Contract

Salary:                         Based on the Scale of BENEFIT senior experts

Report to:                   Cluster manager

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Together with researchers of the relevant RARI and EIAR:

-        Carry out needs assessment for the research agenda, including needs defined at the woreda level;

-        Design and implement validation of best fit and innovative practices;

-        Design and implement action research on scaling of validated agricultural practices;

-        Define the parameters for the recommendations (agro-ecological and socio-economic);

-        Test recommendation maps in a research setting;

-        Provide Training of Trainers for relevant BoA staff;

-        Write manuals, technical reports and scientific papers;

-        Actively network with Research Project Officers in the other clusters;

-        Additional tasks may be assigned.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

-        MSc in an agricultural related topic with at least 5 years of relevant experience in agricultural development & research;

-        Experience in working in (international) projects;

-        Experience in working with or within the GoE structure for agriculture;

-        Experience with in bottom-up needs assessment planning;

-        Experience with action research and scaling in the agricultural domain;

-        Strong planning, design and writing skills;

-        Proven ability to handle large amounts of data and the analysis thereof;

-        Strong communication skills and a good command of local languages as well as English;

-        Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary research teams;

-        Proven ability to write scientific papers;

-        Good knowledge of computer applications, knowledge of GIS and mapping is an advantage.

TERMS OF CONTRACT

  1. Initial contract for 6 months starting from <June 1, 2018> with possible extension based on performance;
  2. Attractive and competitive salary based on project scale with additional allowances for field work;

2. Scaling and planning expert

Report to:                   Cluster manager

 

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Together with woreda officials:

-        Bottom up planning of agricultural priorities;

-        Translate bottom-up planning into implementation plans;

-        Operationalize recommendation maps for validated practices;

-        Contribute to the identification of priorities for research;

-        Mobilize stakeholders for availability of inputs (i.e. seed and fertilizer);

-        Provide Training of Trainers for relevant stakeholders;

-        Actively network with Woreda Support Project Officers in the other clusters;

-        Responsible for collaboration with ISSD, SBN and other projects in the specific region;

-        Additional tasks may be assigned.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

-        MSc in an agricultural related topic with at least 5 years of relevant experience in agricultural development;

-        Experience in working in (international) projects;

-        Experience in working with or within the GoE structure for agriculture esp. at woreda level;

-        Experience with bottom-up planning processes;

-        Experience with participatory approaches and stakeholder networks;

-        Strong planning, design and writing skills;

-        Excellent knowledge of the regional farming systems and network;

-        Strong communication skills and a good command of local languages as well as English;

-        Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder environments;

-        Good knowledge of computer applications;

3. Nutrition and Gender expert

Category:                    Applied Human Nutrition with exposure on gender and rural

development

Report to:                   National Manager

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Together with other experts participate in:

-        Ensuring sustained availability of nutrition-dense crops

-        Increasing awareness on importance of nutrition;

-        Increase women’s ability to contribute to nutrition security;

-        Mainstream gender in testing, validation and scaling activities of CASCAPE

-        Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting of nutrition and gender activities;

-        Mobilize stakeholders for availability of inputs (i.e. vegetable seed and appropriate fertilizer);

-        Provide Training of Trainers for SMS and DAs;

-        Actively network with other experts in the other clusters;

-        Responsible for collaboration with ISSD and other programs in the framework of AGP in the SNNP region;

-        Additional tasks may be assigned.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

-        MSc in Applied human nutrition with some rural development exposure and at least 5 years of relevant experience in agricultural development;

-        Experience in working in (international) projects;

-        Experience in working with or within the GoE structure for agriculture esp. at woreda level;

-        Experience with bottom-up planning processes;

-        Experience with participatory approaches and stakeholder networks;

-        Strong planning, design and writing skills;

-        Excellent knowledge of the regional farming systems and network;

-        Strong communication skills and a good command of local languages as well as English;

-        Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder environments;

-        Good knowledge of computer applications;
