I have written a BA Thesis while I was at University of Gondar, entitled “The Royal Capital Gondar and its Architectural Development”. I have written my MA Thesis, entitled “Change and Continuity in the Lives of Birbuax Azmaris [Minstrels] in Gondar Zuria Woreda”.
I am interested in the anthropological exploration of religious and belief systems and lives. Understanding the religious culture of people is on top of my interest. Currently, I am developing a PhD. Proposal on one of the belief systems in northern Ethiopia, Budïnät (being evil eyed). This tradition has been a source of ridicule, tension, fear and horrific marginalization and stigmatization between the perceived Buda people and the rest of the community wherein regions the tradition is prevalent.
