College Graduates 401 Students

(Wondo Genet- 10 July 2010) Hawassa University's   College of Forestry and Natural Resources
graduates 401 students on degree programmes on 9 July 2010.

The graduates were congratulated by university officials on successful completion of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from the departments of Forestry and Natural Resource, Wildlife and Ecotourism.

Dr Admasu Tsegaye, the President of HU congratulated the graduates and thanked the university community, the students and their families for successful outcome.

Dr. Melaku Bekele, Head of the Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resource explained the wide spectrum of activities undertaken by the College including the implementation of BPR, revenue generation and internationalization. He noted the expansion of the college which started with 20 students 32 years ago, is now having 1700 students.  The college plans to receive 660 new students in the coming academic year. The college also plans to start PhD progammes.
