(9 July 2010 - Hawassa) A team consisting of the Ambassador of The Netherlands to Ethiopia, the Rector of Wageningen University, other officials from the WU and the embassy visited HU on 9 July 2010.

HE Hans Blankenberg, Ambassador of  The Netherlands to Ethiopia lauded the joint
efforts of Wageningen University and Hawassa university to expand partnership
in education and research.  Professor Martin Kropff, Rector Magnificus of Wageningen University noted the long standing relationship between Hawassa and Wageningen Universities. 

The team visited teaching facilities at the College of
Agriculture, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Main Campus. Dr Admasu Tsegaye, President of
Hawassa University explained the contribution of both Wageningen University and of the government of the Natherlands on education in the country.
